About Us & Company History:
Berg Productions, Inc. was founded in 1983 by its current President Helen Berg. In 1988 Karen Ramus joined her mother Helen in the expansion of the spring and fall Lane County Home & Garden Shows. Today, Karen is the Show Manager of all three Berg events. She currently serves as Past President of Home and Garden Show Executives International, a trade association which represents the finest independantly owned home and garden shows. Karen has been instrumental in the leadership of the Lane Events Center Client Group. Our company holds memberships in various trade associations including the National Association of Consumer Shows, Oregon Business Association, and HBA of Lane County.
Berg Productions produces three home and garden shows annually at the Lane Events Center in Eugene, Oregon. We are bit unique in that we feature FREE admission to each and every event we produce. Berg Productions is deeply committed to the dream of home ownership, gorgeous gardens, and sustainability. We serve our community and our exhibitors thru our events. We believe the best way to do business is to educate consumers to make smart choices and to facilitate relationships between the consumer and the contractors they hire. Our events always feature free hourly seminars to serve this educational mission.
In January 2006, we founded the Good Earth Home, Garden & Living Show, which was the very first sustainable home & garden show in North America. The show opened its doors to huge crowds of consumers seeking sustainable products and services. It was like a rock concert and the star of the show was sustainability! Each year this show sells out of exhibit space almost immediately which explains why Eugene is the perfect place to mainsteam green! This sucessful sustainable home and garden show has inspired many event producers across the country to produce similar events. Berg Productions is committed to greening our office and all our events thru our reduction of consumption, increased recycling, best business practices, and community outreach.
The ever enthusiastic Terie’ Stephenson has joined the company as our Show Coordinator in 2006. She is the proud owner of the beautiful hens and roosters we bring to do a bit of people watching at the Good Earth Home, Garden & Living Show. For those of you calling our office, go ahead and pronounce her name like tree!
We have a wonderful team of 14 long term employees that work the shows with a commitment to our vendor’s success. They love the shows so much, we could actually charge them to work the shows! We bring excellence to each of our productions as we are firmly focused on the profitability of our valued exhibitors and sponsors. We hope that when you arrive at our shows you feel the love!
Berg Productions is firmly committed to our community. We support various organizations such as North Eugene High School's vocational program, St. Vincent Housing, Habitat for Humanity, School Garden Project, Eugene's Sustainable Leadership Council, Volunteers in Medicine, OSU Extension Service, NW Medical Teams and so many more wonderful agencies. We have raised in excess of 300,000 pounds of canned food at the entrance to our home and garden events to benefit FOOD for Lane County. .
